Behind the company are co-founders Jean Vogler and Gavin van den Berg, whose combined experience across operations, project management, logistics, business, marketing and high-pressure industries has shaped the way SS Painting operates today.

Jean Vogler
Jean’s career has been shaped by fast paced, high pressure industries where adaptability, problem solving and strong communication are essential.
After spending several years living and working in the United Kingdom, she returned to South Africa and moved into senior marketing and operational roles across aviation, travel and the motor industry.
Today, her role within SS Painting extends far beyond marketing, with a strong focus on operations, finance coordination, supplier negotiations, contract administration, pricing strategy and client management across multiple regions.
Jean is known for her practical mindset, resilience under pressure and ability to turn complex situations into structured, workable solutions - always with professionalism, accountability and a good sense of humour.
Gavin van den Berg
Gavin brings extensive experience in large-scale construction, maintenance, painting and waterproofing projects across South Africa. He has been involved in the successful management and coordination of projects with a combined value exceeding R10 billion across commercial, residential, retail and infrastructure sectors.
His expertise spans project leadership, operations, budgeting, site logistics, quality control, contractor coordination and client liaison within high-pressure environments where professionalism, deadlines and accountability are critical.
Known for his hands-on leadership style and technical understanding of remedial systems and coatings, Gavin continues to build SS Painting into a specialised property maintenance company focused on long-term client relationships, scalable operations and high-quality workmanship.
